The Integrated Spatial Assessment of The Flood Hazard Using AHP-GIS: The Case Study of Gorontalo Regency

Mapping of potential flood hazards is an important element in ensuring proper planning development and implementing disaster mitigation efforts for flooded areas. Therefore, this study was conducted to assess the regional-scale hazard areas Gorontalo District using AHP-GIS integration technique with focus on factors such as annual rainfall, elevation, slope, soil type, distance water bodies, land-use. The divided into five classes, ranging from very low high, 13.61% total area Regency classified either high or high. Moreover, distribution verified 65 events were recorded have a level 90.7% indicates model reliable hazard. results showed GIS-AHP promising method accurately predict flood-hazard areas, especially those limited data.
